"Critters," as their fans call them are a legendary mind-bending Seattle-based quartet that pair their Zappa-esque compositions with jungle beats and raging horns. The band features four world class musicians including saxophone wizard Skerik (Les Claypool, Stanton Moore, Garage A Trios, The Dead Kenny G's), bassist and baritone saxophonist Brad Houser (Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians, Patrice Pike, The Dead Kenny G's) drummer Matt Chamberlain (Chris Isaac, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Elton John) and percussionist Mike Dillon (Les, Claypool, The Ani DiFranco Band, The Dead Kenny G's). They are on a continuing mission to spreading their gazed-out art funk rock rhythm section (à la Soul Coughing) and a heavy dose of psychologically suggestive loose jazz flavors to whomever is daring enough to listen.
