Darol Anger and the Furies
feat. Sharon Gilchrist, Britany Haas, Maeve Gilchrist, & Emy Phelps

Darol Anger and the Furies is a group put together comprised of a fantastical array of talented feminine presences. In Greek mythology, Furies were ferocious godlike female avengers who would swoop down on mortals and destroy them. In this band, the only difference is that instead of destruction, inspiration occurs. Featuring a rotating cast of talented women including (but not limited to); Sharon Gilchrist, the breathtaking mandolin player seen along side and with Mike Marshall, the Peter Rowan and Tony Rice Quartet, Uncle Earl, Laurie Lewis and the Right Hands, and The Santa Fe All-Stars.  Britany Haas, the phenomenal fiddler with Crooked Still and The Republic Of Strings; Maeve Gilchrist, the scariest and most exciting Celtic harpist ever; and Emy Phelps, a remarkable vocalist and Pacific Northwest regional star who put her career on hold to raise four kids and is now back in the game. All these powerful presences are brought into synchronization and orbit around Anger’s vision and that unmistakable violin voice.
