“It really hit my team and I after seeing them live that they are so much more than “Who Let the Dogs Out!” Full of energy and talent, the fans and staff were fully engaged from the first beat. My phone has been flooded with messages from teammates who didn’t realize how outrageously great they were going to be. It’s strange to call a band with a massive global hit an undiscovered gem, but they are just incredible live performers. I’m ready to book them again!”
- Kevin Banks, Georgetown Events, The Bullpen @ Washington Nationals DC.
"…..One of the true highlights was having the Baha Men on our Main Stage. The production and musical quality of the show was phenomenal, as was the crowd engagement. It was so rewarding to see a wide variety of ages dancing and having a good time. What an incredible entertainment experience!"

Sounds
For over two decades, Baha Men has been a dominant force in international pop music, blending the infectious energy of Junkanoo, Caribbean rhythms, Afrobeats, and dance music into a sound that is truly their own. The Grammy Award-winning group is best known for their global smash “Who Let the Dogs Out”, a song that transcended music to become a cultural phenomenon, heard in stadiums, films, and celebrations around the world.
As they approach the 25th anniversary of their most iconic hit, Baha Men continues to evolve, innovate, and deliver high-energy performances to audiences worldwide—hinting they’re not done adding to an already epic legacy.
Music has always been the heartbeat of Baha Men. Rik Carey, lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, grew up surrounded by music—his father, Pat Carey, was a founding member of the group when it was originally known as High Voltage in the late 1970s. Inspired by his family’s deep musical roots, Rik developed a passion for rhythm, melody, and performance, officially joining Baha Men in 1999 after a life-changing audition.
Isaiah Taylor, the group’s bassist and bandleader, has been a cornerstone of the band’s identity. His leadership and musical vision have guided Baha Men through decades of transformation, ensuring their sound remains both authentic and globally resonant.
Dyson Knight, known for his dynamic vocals and electrifying stage presence, had a defining moment early in his career when a crowd of 40 sang along with a song he wrote. That intimate performance cemented his passion for music. Since joining Baha Men in 2006, Dyson has played a critical role in shaping the group’s modern sound and performance energy.
Rather than fitting into one genre, Baha Men has carved out a lane that is uniquely theirs—an exhilarating blend of international pop layered with Bahamian soul. Their signature sound is driven by the spirit of Junkanoo, infused with Caribbean, dance, and Afrobeat elements, and wrapped in melodies designed to uplift and unite.
“Our sound is like no other,” says Rik. “We take the cultural elements of the Bahamas and fuse them with global genres. Whether it’s pop, Caribbean, or Afrobeats, we love to create music that moves people.” It’s this fearless fusion of styles that has kept Baha Men pushing musical boundaries while honoring their roots. Each new release is a chance to introduce the heartbeat of the Bahamas to the world in new and refreshing ways.
Originally released in 2000, Who Let the Dogs Out became an instant global sensation—earning a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording, going multi-platinum, and becoming a pop culture staple in films, sports, and television. Even now, it remains one of the most iconic party anthems ever. “The fans’ reaction every time we perform it is still mind-blowing,” Rik shares. “It reenergizes me no matter how many times I’ve sung it.” As they approach the 25th anniversary of the song in 2025, Baha Men sees it as both a celebration and a new beginning. “This song opened so many doors for our careers,” Rik adds. “Now it’s time to honor that milestone and celebrate with the fans who’ve been with us all along.”
While reflecting on their past, Baha Men is laser-focused on the future. In 2025, they released new music, starting with the single "Smile"—an uplifting anthem produced by acclaimed hitmaker Troyton Rami, known for his work with artists like Sean Paul, Beenie Man, and Tessanne Chin. Smile” blends Afrobeats with Junkanoo rhythms and was created with one intention: to make people feel good. “With everything going on in the world, we wanted to create something that simply makes people smile,” says Rik. The single marks a fresh chapter for the band, full of optimism, positivity, and feel-good energy. “We want to continue bringing great vibrations, love, and fun to our fans,” Rik says. “That won’t ever change—it’s what has always worked for us.” Dyson adds, “Our themes can be deep and mature, but I always want them to be written in a way I wouldn’t mind my children singing along to.”
Baha Men has embraced the modern music landscape by using platforms like FanPad, YouTube, and Instagram to engage directly with fans. “I love reposting mentions on IG, replying to YouTube comments, and even doing Cameos,” says Dyson. “It’s important that our fans feel seen and connected.” Their approach is rooted in authenticity—always leading with love, energy, and their signature Bahamian flair, whether on stage or online.
With a multi-generational international fan base, Baha Men remains committed to spreading joy, high-energy performances, and the spirit of the Bahamas through their music. Their reputation for crafting authentic, uplifting, and genre-defying songs has earned them a permanent place in pop music history. As they look ahead, Baha Men is grounded by their culture, inspired by their fans, and motivated to keep creating music that brings people together. “The world is only as good as we make it,” says Dyson. “Let’s be intentional about making it beautiful.”
From sold-out stadiums to festivals, chart-topping hits to new digital platforms, and Grammy wins to global tours, Baha Men is here to stay—and they’re just getting started.
